Simple Stuff

This week we studied matter
and it wasn’t all that tough.
When a scientist says matter
what she really means is stuff.

Solid stuff will hold its shape.
Liquid stuff will pour.
Stuff they call a gas is light
and might float out the door.

And the form of matter changes,
yes it happens quite a lot.
A solid turns to liquid
if you make it very hot.

Now that’s an awesome change,
but I learned it’s not the last,
if you make it even hotter
it’ll turn into a gas.

So I’m ready for my science test,
it won’t be very tough,
cause this girl has done her homework,
and she really know her… stuff!
